  • Tips And Tricks To Make Habits Stick

    July 9, 2019 /

For me, thinking of new habits I would like to create in my life is seriously no problem at all, there are literally 100s! I have now narrowed them down to a manageable amount as this would obviously be impossible. But the issue isn’t just coming up with them, it’s sticking at them. How many gym memberships go unused after January for example, and as for that morning yoga, it was fun while it lasted but the snooze button got the better of me in the end. Starting with new habits is the easiest part. As I’m pretty sure we all know from experience, it is sticking to them day…

  • Struggling To Think Of Ideas For New Habits? Some Simple Starters…

    July 2, 2019 /

Are you ready to create new habits and have the best life ever? That is amazing news! Now what you need to do is choose what types of habits will benefit you the most. By now, you will have had a look at some of the areas in your life that you would like to improve on, and you may have a list and be raring to go…or maybe not! Of the course, the habits that are chosen aren’t going to be the same for everyone, as someone else’s new habit might not fit into your schedule or lifestyle or might be something you are already doing. If you are…

  • Creating New Habits: Baby Steps Are The Way Forward

    June 25, 2019 /

If I were to ask you, “Do you have any bad habits?”, what would you come up with? We tend to be pretty harsh on ourselves a lot of the time, so you’d probably start reeling off a long list! If you asked me the same question, I could tell you at least 5 in one breath…I won’t reveal what they are as our bad habits always seem kind’ve embarrassing right? But what makes a habit negative? Some habits we think are really awful probably aren’t that bad, and others that we don’t even notice might be the ones we need to change. So rather than starting with things we…

    June 11, 2019 /

When I first started trying to come up with a list of goals, first I went blank and couldn’t seem to think of anything at all. Why do our minds do that when we try and think of something? Strange isn’t it? Anyways, then I was flooded with hundreds of ideas and it was paralysis by analysis and back to square 1. I did eventually come up with a short-list that I am working on and slowly beginning to see some fruits of my labor so the story has a good ending. Some goals should be fun, some serious, and as life is full of pathways, there are millions of…

  • Goal Setting Can Be Fun (Honest!) Change Your Perception of Setting Goals

    May 28, 2019 /

When you hear the words goal setting, do you groan?! In the target-driven culture we live in today, it seems we are always being asked to set goals and evaluate our effectiveness towards achieving them. How many dull work meetings seem to focus on this topic? I get it, we can get pretty tired of always having to constantly put ourselves out there to achieve and then often feeling bad about ourselves when we haven’t reached the mark. That’s why there is an art to goal setting. And there is a real difference between the kind of goal setting that we might actually like and the kind which we loathe.…

  • The Psychology of Color: Can Colors Really Affect Our Mood?

    May 7, 2019 /

We’ve all heard the concept that red makes you angry and so you shouldn’t have red walls! But is there any truth in this? Can a color really affect our mood? And if so, how can we use color to help us? I know I feel great when I wear my favorite blue sweater, but why? • Welcome to the Wonderful World of Adult Coloring

    April 30, 2019 /

Coloring is back and in a big way. The coloring trend has been big for a few years now. I remember when it first became a thing and people were a little skeptical about how coloring could seriously be an activity for adults. Surely, we left our coloring days behind us many years ago! It seems not as it is now not so unusual to see “grown-ups” sitting in a café or on the bus coloring.  So why do we like it so much? Is the comfort of going back to our childhood days? Or that we are in flow and mindful while we color? And how can we use…
